a balance of sorts

Why is it that in a world that has everything we could ever need to all live a beautiful, comfortable life, can we not seem to find a way to compromise, to be one with each other and earth? This is something I’ve questioned nearly my entire life. Why all of the violence, the cruelty, the injustice, the selfishness? There is certainly more darkness than necessary. The amount of darkness upsets the equilibrium that the universe must function under. This is how I know that everything old is to collapse and light is to win, to take over, to restore balance. My deepest longing is for everyone to come together to support one another, to have a community, to love one another, to grow into ascension. And yet, I realize that by nature, humans tend to be good. It is only when our souls become imprisoned within a system that is built to run us like slaves, like robots, that the people under such circumstances lose the parts of themselves that made them human when they were a child. But I still see the small glimpses of humanity, even when people are exhausted, broken, overworked, hurt. It could all be quite simple, really. To simply accept each other, to truly dive deep into our core selves, to see one another’s soul rather than physical appearance, to live through our higher selves and the higher good, rather than ego’s and greed and pride. It could all be so simple, to connect with Mother Earth I mean, and everything beautiful that she provides, and yet, humans—greedy beings, destroy her for their own benefit. She is living, breathing, powerful. How can tiny little meat skeleton beings tear her apart like this? We will pay for it, because she has every right to take revenge. I just hope she’s gentle on the ones who love her. If you were to entertain the idea of the universe simply operating as a yin and yang to absolutely everything, that being the only sure process of how it functions, and if we were to entertain the idea that we are not just individual beings, but all tiny fractions of the same whole consciousness and that all that this life really is, is simply a recyclability of all versions of this third dimensional world, then all of this darkness despite the good and love of all human beings could be more reasonably explained. There is darkness, because at some point, we were that very person causing harm to others. The cycle of karma you could say. Now we are on the flip side. But to experience anything, it must have a polar opposite. Something can only exist if it is based on two opposing conditions. These two opposing conditions prove to be a necessary contrast to afford us the ability to make meaning, and therefore, continue to validate the existence of our consciousness. If there is no beginning and end and all energy is recycled, then based on these premises, it would justify us having existed as all versions of life we see around us at different cycles of life. Even then, due to the dimension we live in and the way we comprehend reality, we use a linear timeline to explain concepts like fourth and fifth dimensions, as well as cycles, but truly, time is not relevant in this case at all. To exist now has no relevance. It simply reminds us that our consciousness has not evolved enough to be able to see beyond merely the present moment and to be able to see into all ‘past’, ‘present’, and ‘future’ versions of us existing all at the same time, which again aren’t even the accurate words to describe the true objective reality of our being. There is no past, present, future. There simply is. Just as it is taught in Buddhism, perhaps this belief becomes more apparent the more you question why so much suffering must occur, even in the face of our hearts and love. If life was as simple as opening our hearts, then wouldn’t have all humans have learned this by now, and only a few who didn’t and wanted to continue to live their lives through their ego would become the ‘outcasts’? We have lived like this for centuries, for civilizations. We have yet to ever have a civilization where there truly seems to exist a utopian society. It seems that with each generation that comes about to replace the older ones, yes, society may progress, but people seem to remain nearly the same. Older generations had healers, psychics, witches. But they still had corruption, cruelty, battles. Newer generations have kind, pure souls, ‘overly-sensitive’ neurodivergent people. And yet, corruption, cruelty, and wars still exist. I think people can sometimes make the mistake of putting their hope into each new generation that comes about, forgetting that the new generation serves as a similar mirror to the past generations, just in altered terminology. Sometimes such hopeful people only focus on what is presented in front of them, rather than looking at ways that history repeats itself. In 1800s, we had witches, though then they were punished for existing, for they went against Christian doctrine. In the 1970s, there were hippies, and yet they were stigmatized for always being high on drugs and using spirituality as an excuse to not work and contribute to society. Now we have ‘star-seeds’, new age spirituality, which also gets stigmatized, for it does not follow the logic and rationalization of science, but instead titles people with intuitive and psychic abilities as mentally ill, schizophrenic, holding a messiah complex, and so on. Though science is not completely invalid in their reasoning and in many cases, people do go too far into a set of beliefs and in the process lose themselves, just as religious fanatics do, even slight biases towards spiritual beliefs and practices within the scientific, or more specifically, the psychological field often get scrutinized and immediately shut down. The point of these statements are to highlight the illusion that current day people seem to get lost under when creating a false belief that somehow more people seem to be waking up now than they did a few decades ago, hundreds of years ago, or civilizations ago. I don’t think more people are waking up, I think each generation simply replaces the old one to maintain equilibrium. By far, with everything I’ve experienced in life, one of the surest ideas I can confidently give my credit to is the idea that everything exists due to some perhaps incomprehensible law of the universe that holds the notion that there must always be a balanced maintained in absolutely any and every part of the existence within the scope of our comprehension. Society does change, advancements change, achievements change. However, these opposing forces of chaos versus peace, of good versus evil, of light versus dark, birth versus death, seem to prevail all the same. The cycle of life. As I mentioned earlier, it seems to me that is there is an overdrive of dark forces currently residing in this world. I therefore predict that to restore balance, a great cleansing, detox, restoration of some sorts will be brought upon and we shall see a brighter future. Though this logic may dip into layers of delusion, I don’t think my delusion is too far off, considering how everything does indeed operate based on the premise of contrasting conditions. True contentment in life is finding a balance between all of the contrasting forces in your life. It is to find a middle ground, a way to recognize both and lean towards the things that bring you the most joy, without getting lost in them. True contentment is to remain aware even in the midst of chaos, and without attachments to anything. To be content, in my personal belief, is to allow life to flow through you like a river and to accept its simultaneous absurdity and magic.
